The Erasmus + Greece programme has as goal to modernize Education, Training and Youth work and to improve skills and employability. Erasmus + Greece comes with a 14.7 billion euro budget for the 7 years of its duration showing the big interest of the EU in these areas.

Erasmus plus Greece will spread its budget giving opportunities to more than 4 million Europeans to study, train, gain work experience and volunteer to another EU country. Erasmus plus Greece will foster transnational partnerships between Education, Training and Youth institutions and organisations and it will support the building of links between education and work to overcome the lack of skills in EU
It will also help national efforts to improve education, training, and youth systems with the use of modern tools. In the field of Sport, compating match-fixing, dopind, violence and racism are the main challenges of the Erasmus plus Greece programme
Erasmus plus Greece offers more opportunities for cooperation across the Education , Training , Youth , and Sport sectors and is easier to access than its predecessors, with simplified funding rules.
